Red Bull Illume
Capture Integration teams up with Broncolor and Sun Sniper for the 2014 Red Bull Illume. We will be supporting an open set shoot with Scott Markewitz. If you’re near the Atlanta area, make sure you don’t miss this exciting event.

Red Bull Illume is the world’s premier international photography competition dedicated to showcasing the very best creative action and sports photography from around the world to the greater public. The 2013 Red Bull Illume Image Quest is the third edition of the competition after 2007 and 2010. From tens of thousands of entries 50 of the top images in ten categories were selected by international judges and photo editors from renowned publications around the world.
From March 20-30, 2014, the international traveling exhibit will come to Atlanta’s Piedmont Park completely free and open to the public. The Top 50 winning images from the 2013 Red Bull Illume contest will come to life after sunset each night outside on life-size illuminated light boxes.
The exhibit will be located just inside the Charles Allen Gates of Piedmont Park located at 10th St NE & Monroe Dr NE, Atlanta, GA.
Directions to the venue:
Piedmont Park, Atlanta’s “Common Ground” since 1904, is located approximately 2 miles northeast of downtown Atlanta. The park runs along 10th Street. Red Bull Illume is located off 10th, on Charles Allen Drive. Spectators are encouraged to arrive by MARTA – the nearest MARTA station is Midtown, located just a few blocks from the Park. Upon exiting the Midtown Station, take 10th Street towards Peachtree Street and continue on 10th until you reach Charles Allen. Turn left on Charles Allen and enter the park and you will arrive at the exhibition.

Scott Markewitz
Scott Markewitz is recognized as one of the most influential outdoor photographers in the industry. He has traveled the globe with an unfailing eye in search of action and outdoor adventure in some of the most dramatic locations on Earth. His images have appeared in advertising and promotional campaigns for many outdoor and consumer brands, including Adobe, HP, Tag Heuer, J Crew, Charles Schwab, Salomon, Mountain Hardwear, Red Bull, Thule, Oakley, Specialized, Descente, Giro and many others; and on more than 400 US and International magazine covers
Scott was featured in Men’s Journal as one of the World’s Greatest Adventure Photographers. He is the only photographer in Ski Magazine’s list of the 100 Most Influential Skiers of All Time and the recipient of Ski Utah’s Excellence in Journalism Award. His images have also received awards from APA, PDN, The International Pano Awards, and The Spider Awards.
His passion for photography and the outdoors comes through in everything that he shoots, whether it’s action sports, active life style, or environmental portraits. His vibrant images and ability to take any situation and come back with great results have given him the reputation as the go-to guy in the outdoor world. When not on assignment, you’ll find him out big mountain skiing around the world, racing his mountain bike, or trail running in the mountains, pushing his own limits in some of the sports he loves to photograph. He lives with his wife, Veronique, and their son, Julien, in Salt Lake City, Utah and Provence, France.
At the Red Bull Illume exhibition opening in Scottsdale, world-class sports photographer Scott Markewitz hosted a one-hour live-action photo shoot. Markewitz shot the Super Cr3w b-boys using the new broncolor Move power packs and lighting equipment to illuminate the breakdance crew, Markewitz was able to share some of his lighting techniques and demonstrate how to creatively capture the perfect action shots.
