We have noticed a glitch in the Profoto B1 firmware when it has been upgraded for the TTL High Speed Sync using the C6 firmware upgrade available on Profoto’s website.
When the B1’s batteries have been fully charged to 100%, the the indicator on the back of the flash itself will only read 2/3s full. Despite what the back of the flash says, the amount displayed when pressing the button on the battery itself is the correct amount. Profoto says they will have the glitch fixed in their next firmware upgrade which will come out in mid- to late February.
We still recommend using this C6 upgrade, as overall functionality is not impaired beyond the incorrect display.
