New Hasselblad Firewire Cables

Hasselblad has introduced two new FireWire cables: one with black connectors for the H5D only, and another cable with grey connectors primarily for the HxD/CFV only. Both cables feature an angled connector on one end, and a straight connector on the other. Both connector types will fit either the camera port or the computer port with a slight restriction for H5D/grey cable use as mentioned below. The connectors are designed to be a tight fit in the camera FireWire port to eliminate problems caused by loosely fitting cables and any consequential damage to the internal connection. The black cable also features a click-lock feature that applies to the H5D camera. In addition, the black cable has slightly thicker contacts, thereby automatically preventing any incorrect use together with HxD/CFV cameras. The grey cable for the HxD/CFV can also be used on an H5D but if the angled connector is used to connect the camera, the cable will extend upwards. Cable length for both types is 4.5m / 14.8 ft.
