This just in from the Hasselblad H Product Manager, regarding the new 2,900 mAh battery. Sometimes the battery level displayed on the camera will not accurately represent the charge level in the actual battery. If this happens, there is a simple reset for the battery:
The New 2,900 mAh Battery Grip
- Confirm the Li-ion battery has been fully charged prior to reset procedure.
- Remove the Li-ion Battery.
- Remove the sensor unit (digital back).
- Press and hold the Flash and Menu button and attach the battery. You will hear the chirp/beeps indicating the 2,900 mAh battery has been reset.
- Turn on the camera and confirm battery status has been reset to 100%.
If the battery does not require a reset you will not hear the chirp/beep. If the battery has not been charged prior to reset procedure, the battery status will drop to the actual or true status of the battery within a short period of time.
