Leaf Credo Wide Spectrum Digital Camera Backs

Now, the quality of Leaf Credo digital backs are available to photographers shooting wide spectrum (WS) images. The Leaf Credo WS option is not JUST an infrared back, it is an infrared-capable digital back.

The Leaf Credo WS enables you to shoot:

  • Infrared (use a IR-pass, visible-block filter)
  • Standard Color (use IR-block, visible-pass filter)
  • Infrarcolor (use an orange/red filter)

Application

Creative photographers will explore their art using the Leaf Credo WS using techniques such as:

  • Woods Effect — landscape images with dark green foliage becoming very bright and light blue skies become very dark.
  • Portraits — skin blemishes are typically much less visible in IR and skin “glows”.
  • Invisible flash — Use a flash filtered with an IR-pass/visible-block filter and you can do flash photography without anyone else being able to see the flash.
  • Macro — Some flowers show patterns in the IR space that aren’t in the visible spectrum (more common with UV than IR) .
  • Science/ Art conservation – In near IR light and near UV light you can reveal invisible paint layers that will help is research and in repairs of old masters work.

Technical Cameras

The Leaf Credo WS is ideal for use on technical cameras. Because technical cameras don’t utilize autofocus or a viewfinder, it does not matter that you can’t compose or focus through-the-lens when using an IR-pass/visible-block filter. The Leaf Credo WS delivers stunning quality that has been Leaf’s trademark for many years.

High Resolution and High Speed

The Leaf Credo 50 WS utilizes a Sony 44x33mm CMOS sensor with dynamic range of 14 f-stops and iso 100-6400. The Credo 50 provides excellent Live View and long exposure capabilities along with a fast 1.2 fps capture rate. The Leaf Credo 50WS with its excellent long exposures and Live View performance allows for capturing impressive amount of the most accurate detail with IR pass filters of up to 1050nm.

The Leaf Credo lets you shoot anywhere. Featuring a high resolution, touch 3.2” screen, enabling you to view, inspect and edit your images under all kinds of challenging lighting conditions, both in-studio and outside, as well as offering a wide range of on-screen functions.
