Advanced Phase One XF Gallery Tour Wrap Up

CI Roadtour!-2

Today, physical proximity is both underrated and overrated. The cell phone number for every CI team member is listed on the staff page. We have email, text and video-based chat. We’re knowledgeable and we respond before and after standard business hours (what photographer actually works standard business hours?). If our clients need help, if they need information, we have it for them. But as great as modern communications has become, … Read More →

In this age of digital capture, the single biggest aspect we are missing is seeing our amazing images printed. There are no proof sheets. There are no polaroids. There is no shoe box of prints.  How many of our images are lost forever due to some data mistake or archiving blunder? So for this year’s CI road tour we decided to print some of our favorite customer’s images up to 80″ wide and bring them to our customers to view.  And the results were nothing short of spectacular. Photographer Spotlight: Adam Ewing

_H3I4228

I was born and raised in Richmond, Virginia. I went to college at Virginia Commonwealth University, and ultimately ended up settling in Richmond with my wife who I met when we were 19. In the past, I had a wide range of jobs from working on a horse farm to being a bike messenger, risking my life on a daily basis weaving in and out of traffic. Over the years, I have traveled a considerable amount for work, but always find myself coming back to RIC as I love it. I have primarily been an advertising and editorial photographer for the last 11 years and plan to keep doing it until it’s not fun anymore. I have a studio downtown, but am just as comfortable working wherever our jobs take us. I specialize in portraiture, but also do a considerable amount of action photography, some men’s fashion and still life photography. Read More →

XF Feature Update #4 – ReCalibration NECESSARY

TechTip-FU4-focusCal

As covered previously in the post XF Focus Trim, the XF has long had the ability to calibrate to each lens attached to it and calibrating the system in this way should be viewed as an absolute necessity for accurate results in autofocusing. Anyone who has followed my trimming procedure in the past or have had their cameras custom tuned by me absolutely need to re-calibrate their lenses immediately after updating … Read More →
