Tuesday Phase One released a new version of its Capture Pilot application for use on iOS devices following their announcement of their new IQ 250 CMOS digital back. It was a great release, but many users had issues connecting with iPads running iOS 7. Even the quick fix we discovered did not allow you to connect.
This morning, Phase One released Capture Pilot 1.5.1 in the iTunes App Store with “Improved compatibility with some firmware version for the IQ2 series of digital backs from Phase One.”
While we posted a more in-depth look at all of Capture Pilot 1.5’s features (click here), this minor update did restore functionality of the iOS 7 / port 3300 workaround to iPads (see the quick fix link mentioned above). It still may not detect the servers automatically over adhoc, but at least you can now connect with your iPad.
