Wednesday night APA Atlanta hosted a “Resolve to Connect” event. APA Atlanta

Held at Big Studio, the idea was for all elements of the photographic community – photographers, assistants, food, prop, makeup, wardrobe stylists, digital techs, retouchers and models – to get together, connect with each other, network, get some face time. And…it worked! Upwards of 40+ members of Atlanta’s APA community turned out.

*The best man for the job - APA National President Stephen Best.

There was food, music, but mostly, just people getting out and chatting each other up. Exchanging ideas, perspectives and philosophies. It was glaringly deficient when it came to technical talk, gear talk, etc. And that was a good thing. This was business, this was networking, this was relationships.

*I have a good feeling about this guy.

It was great to see some old friends who I had not seen in years, bump into some more frequent chums, and introduce myself to people I’d never met. Let’s hope this is the start of a resurgence for getting out of the studio and engaging compatriots in the Atlanta photographic community.

*Should we do this more often? I think so.

We feel that APA is an excellent resource for the Atlanta photo community and the national photographic community in general. Capture Integration will always be a supporter for  APA and its membership.

*I don't think these two had met before - but now they have!
